General Policy
The best way to contact the instructor is by email. Whenever you send email regarding this course, please make sure you include INF131 in the subject line and your full name in the message, because sometimes it can be difficult to decipher student email addresses.
Two things you should check regularly for this course are: (1) the course website and (2) the official course mailing list. The course website will be continually updated throughout the quarter. Course annoucements will be sent out by email to the official course mailing list and possibly updated on the course website as well.
Class Attendance and Active Participation
A significant aspect of learning in this course will come from in class discussion and activities. If you do not attend class, you cannot participate. Also, active participation requires more than sitting in the class. Make sure you finish the readings before each class session and make an effort to contribute to the discussion and activities.
No food in class please, because it can be distracting to the instructor and other students in the class.
Assignment
Homework turned in late will not be graded.
Cheating
