Inf 131: Human Computer Interaction

Summary

This course provides an introduction to human-computer interaction with an emphasis on user interface design. Students learn about HCI theories, guidelines and methodologies. Hands-on practice is a vital part of the course.

This course is a prerequisite for INF132, the project course in HCI. This course will not require any significant programming - that's for INF132 or INF133 (user interaction software), but we do expect each student to be able to write clear, cogent, grammatical English because much of the work in this course will involve describing, discussing and justifying the design decisions and evaluation judegements you make.
