This page allows you to download, install, and maintain software developed by ISR.

Java Tools: Java tools are managed by the ISR Deployment Tool, a trusted Java program that will run in your browser. You can also download a copy and run it stand-alone. Java tools developed by ISR use the latest Java technology, and therefore require at least Java 2 version 1.4 to run.

Important: To run the ISR deployment tool, you must have Java Plugin 1.4 installed in your browser. To check this, we have included a small applet here that will determine if you're ready to go:

If you see anything other than OK in the box above, then you need to install and setup Java Plugin 1.4. We recommend installing the full Java 2 SDK v1.4 for this purpose. To obtain that SDK, go here. When you've finished installing the SDK, restart your browser and return here to Software Update.

If you've installed Java Plugin 1.4 and the box still says "Not OK": First, try restarting your browser. Windows users running Internet Explorer may need to restart their computer if they are using a technology called Active Desktop. If neither of these options works, on Windows, try the following:

1. Go to the Start Menu, then the Settings Menu, then Control Panels
2. Open up the Java Plugin 1.4.0 control panel.
3. Ensure "Enable Java Plugin" is checked.
4. On the "Browsers" tab, ensure your current browser is checked off.

Important: ISR Deployment runs as a signed applet. It makes changes to your local system when installing, updating, or removing applications. Therefore, you must give it permission to make these changes. If a dialog pops up when the application is loading asking you for permission, you can choose to either grant it for one session ("Grant this Session") or grant it always ("Grant Always"). If you click "Deny," the application will not run. Also, a known bug in Java Plugin 1.4beta3 may crash your browser if you click "View Certificate." This is fixed in the 1.4-rc release.

The ISR Deployment Tool is a relatively new technology that we're trying out. If you cannot get the tool to run, but would still like to download ISR technologies, you can get them in the form of .ZIP files on our download-only page.
