Postdoctoral Scholar Position

The Institute for Software Research has full-time Postdoctoral Scholar positions available in the areas of software engineering and informatics. The scholars are expected to be involved in or responsible for the following:

a. Carrying out comprehensive research in software engineering or informatics with a focus on applying resulting insights to a variety of application domains and systems.

b. Presenting research results through conference and journal publications, and technical reports.

c. Supervising any students working on the project.

This position requires a Ph.D. degree in Software Engineering or a closely related academic discipline. Prior research or work experience in the following areas is desirable: software, design, HCI, CSCW, and/or ubiquitous computing. A solid record of research publications in software engineering or related areas is also required. The successful applicant should have strong interpersonal and communication skills, and should also be able to demonstrate the ability to work independently.

The duration of the appointment is dependent in part on the availability of extra-mural funding. The minimum annual starting salary for this position will be $33,828.
