Hi! I'm currently a Ph.D. graduate student at the University of California, Irvine in the School of Information & Computer Science under the department of Informatics. My main emphasis is in the area of software engineering, specifically in software architecture, coordination, and design and my advisor is André van der Hoek. I received my Bachelor of Science degree from UCI in 2003 in Information and Computer Science. I enjoyed doing research and working with André so I decided to continue my education here at UCI. My current research project is a coordination platform that utilizes the concept of emerging design called Lighthouse. For more information, please visit the Lighthouse website.
I was born in Taipei, Taiwan and moved to United States when I was 10. After moving around for a bit (Alaska for 4 months, South Pasadena for a year), my family and I settled down here in Irvine. Outside of school, I enjoy watching various Japanese animation, playing games and sports such as bowling or basketball.
